The Ipoh City Council presented some 250 packets of food items to needy folks in  Kampung Dato’ Ahmad Said Tambahan 2, Kampung Jelapang Baru and Kampung Sungai Tapah.

The commendable venture was supported by local supermarket, Jelapang Econsave Supermarket.

Ipoh City Mayor Dato’ Rumaizi Baharin handed over the goods to the Kinta Chief Assistant District Officer, Mohd Noor Azam Ismail.

“We sincerely hope the food items will help those going through difficult times,” said Rumaizi.

In the meantime, the needy folk around the flats in  Waller Court, Kinta Heights and Buntong Harmony were presented with food packets courtesy of Bonanza Venture Holdings (BVH) and the Ipoh City Council.

Around 250 food packets contained rice, noodles, raw food ingredients and sanitary products, alongside toys for the children.

On hand was the Executive Director of Operations for BVH, Edwin Tan who added that this was the first collaboration between the company and the local council.

“We are very grateful for MBI to join hands in this meaningful venture to help the poor and needy community in the city,” said Tan.

Another 150 packets were distributed to folks who had suffered a direct hit from the pandemic such as daily wage earners and small businesses.

Kudos to BVH for corporate social responsibility (CSR) role in these trying and difficult times.
