It must be a match made in heaven as two hippospotamus, Juwita and Jiwang were “married” in a simple ceremony held at the Sunway Lost World of Tambun (SLWOT) recently.

The two hippos were presented with a bunch of vegetables and fruits to mark the union. Both partners have been together for the past three months to acquaint themselves better.

Juwita came to Malaysia from Gaborone, Bostwana, Africa in 2001. Jiwang came to Ipoh in January from a zoo in Pahang.

Among those who attended the private wedding ceremony were Sunway Lost World Of Tambun’s families and close friends due the restricted interstate travel.

SLWOT general manager  Nurul Nuzairi said the ceremony went well and the couple were treated to some of their favourite food like fruits and vegetables.

“We hope they will have a happy life together in the park. Hopefully, we will see their off spring soon,” said Nurul.

Meanwhile, Sunway Lost World Of Tambun also introduced their Malay indoor wedding packages as low as RM55.00 nett per person. The package will include a mini buffet lunch, bottomless Teh Tarik, round tables and chairs setup in the ballroom, VIP table for the bride and groom and wedding cake. The bride and groom will be entitled to one night of Bridal Suite.

As for the non-Malay wedding packages, prices start from RM910.00 per table. The package consists of a Chinese set dinner, VIP table set up with private butler, all round tables and chairs set up, free flow cordials, cake, sparkling champagne, beach wedding decorations and complimentary door gifts.
