The Ipoh City Council (MBI) carried out a corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme in aid of Pertubuhan Baitul Aini here recently.

They contributed food and other necessities to the home.

The project dubbed “MBI Prihatin” aims to assist orphanages in the city during these difficult times.

Lending support to the success of the project was the EconSave Supermarket which sponsored RM2,000 worth of groceries.

Among them were items like rice, sugar, cooking oil, milk and biscuits.

MBI also contributed a sum of RM1,000 towards the home for its upkeep.

The home has some 18 residents comprising male children and teenagers.

Also on hand at the presentation ceremony at the home was Econsave (Jelapang Branch), manager, Shah Effendy Rosman.
