Several single mothers in Gopeng, Perak were presented with essential goods as part of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) by IT solutions company, POIS Sdn Bhd recently.
The programme was also to mark the upcoming Hari Raya celebrations.
The items included groceries and daily essential goods.
On hand to present the goodies was POIS managing director, Eidia Erriany Abd Rahim.
“We are mindful of those people in need especially during festive occasions and events.
“This is our way of giving back to the community,” said Eidia after the presentation ceremony.
The event was held at The Treasure @ The Herbal Garden which is the latest tourist attraction in the state.
The park also provides employment and business opportunities for the folk in the vicinity so that their income can be substantiated.
Among the three pillars of POIS are to educate, ensure community development and to conserve nature.
POIS is also known as a one-stop centre for several industries. They have been in the information technology field for some 30 years.
Meanwhile, the herbal park is located on a 22-hectare land which was re-launched in 2009
