Ipoh City Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin has assured a crackdown on vandals damaging public property.
This is following the damage to newly installed benches in the field at Taman Perpaduan Koperasi which has drawn the ire of the residents and public.
Rumaizi also expressed disappointment on the incident nd condemned those irresponsible parties.
“These facilities are supposed to provide facilities for the public and a lot of money had been spent to install them.
“We must try to be more civic conscious and care for public property,” he added.
He also warned that plain clothed offers will patrol and monitor these locations.
