Menteri Besar Incorporated (Perak) (MB Inc.) was recognised as the Eco School Project Champions” for their role in promoting “The Race Towards 1000 Eco-Schools by the Green Growth Asia Foundation” (GGAF) at a ceremony in Langkawi recently.
The initiative is under the auspices of the Economic Planning Unit of the Prime Minister’s Department and the cooperation of the Asia Development Bank.
Present was MB Inc Strategic Communications Director Pn Siti Kamesah Bee to receive a plaque from the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Economy) Dato’ Sri Mustapa Mohamed.
Also present was Perak State Exco for Housing, Local Government and Tourism Dato Nolee Ashilin Dato’ Mohamed Radzi and the ambassador of the European Union to Malaysia HE Michalis Rokas.
Also present was the State Economic Planning Unit (UPEN) Director Pn Halizah Sipun, Ipoh City Council Secretary, Ahmad Munir Ishak, State Education Director, Aznan Alias and the Executive Director of GGAF, Dr. Mahadi Mohamad.
The memorable event was held at the Aloft Langkawi.
MB Inc was recognised for the 100,00 virtual run participants under the Eco-Schools Perak programme.
They are also the first government linked company (GLC) to initiative the programme in Perak for ‘Sustainable Development Goals’ (SDG).
By 2025 they are targeting some 1,000 1,000 Eco-Schools in the country. The global project involves around 70 countries in the world.
