Some 20 media practitioners in Ipoh attending the National Journalists Day (HAWANA) had their eyes and ears examined at Wisma Psemi at Medan Istana here recently.
These vital organs are their “bread and butter” for their livelihood.
The event was organised by Persatuan Kebajikan Amal Makmur Negeri Perak.
Another 20 members of the public also tested their eyes and ears.
Association Secretary K. Nachemutu said the event was to appreciate the contribution of media representatives in the progress and development of the country.
“They disseminate information and updates of Government policies and other related matters through various sources to the public,” he added.
Nachemutu who is also project chairman thanked Vision C Optical and Pure Sound Tech Enterprise for their support and cooperation to make the programme a success.
Keranji assemblywoman Angeline Khoo was also present to witness the event.
