Journalists, photographers, videographers from the print media, electronic and online news portals with media accreditation from the Information Department and registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM), can now send their entries for the Ipoh City Council Media Awards 2024.
Part timers are also qualified to vie for the honours.
All entries with news articles must have been published and broadcasted in magazines, news portals, television,radio, media social platforms from 2023 todate.
News articles written or published in other languages must be translated into English to Bahasa Malaysia.
There are eight categories to be contested including Best Journalist, Best TV Report, Best TV Special Report, Best News Reports appearing on the print media or news portals, Best Features Report, Best Photographer, Best Videographer and a Special Award.
All entries should be uploaded into Google Drive and sent to the secretariat (Rizal at 018-5715144).
The awards held for the first time are given by the council in appreciation of the media in disseminating information to the public and enhancing close cooperation with the media and the council.
The event will be held at the Ipoh Convention Centre on Aug 10. Closing date for entries is July 31.
