The Ipoh City Council’s Fly The Jalur Gemilang Programme was launched by Datuk Mazlan Abd. Rahman, the Councillors Chief Whip, at the council’s building here today. (Aug 15)
Present were Council secretary Ahmad Munir Ishak, councillors, senior directors, heads of departments and staff.
The event which started at 8.30am with various activities including singing of the patriot song, band performance of SMJK Sam Tet Ipoh, march-past of the council’s guard of honour and placing of Jalur Gemilang on council’s vehicles.
It is hoped that this year’s National Day celebrations will inject a new spirit among the council’s employees to develop the city towards Ipoh Bestari Sejahtera vision.
