In elevating Ipoh’s hospitality industry to the next level, the Cititel Express Ipoh held its relaunching ceremony after undergoing a massive transformation recently.

Held on their 12th floor of the hotel,  it offered a panoramic view of the “Town that Tin Built” and the surrounding green mountain range

The newlook hotel offers guests a perfect blend of contemporary elegance and functional design.

Meanwhile, guests from as far as Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Ipoh attended the joyous gathering.

Present to welcome them was hotel manager Masyitah Muhamed Noor Husen and her team. Lending support was Ms. Estee Tan, IGB Berhad, Hotels Division Senior general manager from Kuala Lumpur too

Among the new features at the hotel are their new and larger rooms, lounge, coffeehouse, meetings rooms and the reception area.

“We have incorporated modern features and fittings for the various rooms. Our priority is to offer the best accommodation experience for all our guests.

“The newly renovated rooms come with full amenities, spacious and luxurious interiors, ideal for families seeking both comfort and convenience during their stay. Our vision for this refurbishment was centered on enhancing the overall guest experience. By reimagining our facilities and amenities, we aim to exceed the expectations of every guest who walks through our doors”,said Masyitah.

As part of their commitment to sustainability and reducing environmental impact, they have embarked on the reduced paper usage facilitated by QR codes, the installation of water dispensers on every floor to reduce plastic bottle consumption, the implementation of wall-mounted refillable shampoo and shower gel dispensers, bamboo key cards and the establishment of a smoke-free environment.

They have also announced a series of promotions aimed at both leisure and corporate guests. In conjunction with Visit Perak Year 2024, vacationers can take advantage of special room packages inclusive of breakfast, as well as curated packages including collaboration packages with KTMB and KPJ Specialist Hospital for the Train Tourism and Medical Tourism respectively.

Being located in the heart of the city, the hotel is only a walking distance away to some of the city’s attractions like the Ipoh Town Hall,  Ipoh Railway Station, Ipoh Padang, the Royal Ipoh Club, Concubine Lane and the Panglima Street eateries to name a few.

Tan in her address shared that IGB’s roots are firmly grounded in Perak and they continue to look for opportunities to invest in tourism related developments here.

“We are in the midst of submitting plans for the development of a new Cititel hotel in Ipoh, further investing in the State of Perak”, she added.
