Beruas Member of Parliament Datuk Ngeh Koo Ham brought early Deepavali cheer to some 1,000 residents in his constituency by distributing food boxes and cash aid to those celebrating the upcoming Festival of Lights.

The aid was presented at several places in the constituency on October 19. Pantai Remis, Sitiawan and Pengkalan Baru state seats are under the parliamentary constituency. 

According to his special officer G. Thinagaran said”: we identified the recipients from B40 group, single mothers, abandoned children, disabled, dialysis and heart patients to receive the aid. 

“Families who really cannot afford a meal a day can come to our service centres and we will buy basic food for them”, he added. 

The centres are opened from Monday to Friday  from 9am to 5pm.

Meanwhile, members of the public are also invited to attend the Deepavali Open House at Dewan Tun V. T. Sambanthan, Sitiawan on October 29 at 7pm and Gelanggang Bola Keranjang Taman Bintang Pantai Remis on November 3 at 7pm.
