The  Ramadan Bazaar at Bulatan Sultan Azlan Shah touted to be the longest in the state has a new look with several new facilities installed for the convenience of the public during this fasting month.

The  bazaar organised by Perak State Development Corporation (PSDC) from 2023 is expected to attract 120,000 visitors compared to 70,000 last year.

Among the facilities are additional business lots from 100 to 121.

Those who take up the Gold package are allowed to place  chairs and tables for customers who want to break fast.

With complaints of lack of parking lots and traffic congestion an extra 500 parking lots had been allocated near the corporation building and Rumah Tradisional Melayu.

The 500 metre bazaar offering a large variety of dishes will operate from 4pm to 12.30 midnight.

PSDC Chief Executive Officer Datuk Redza Rafiq Abdul Razak said:”In providing good infrastructure we have allocated RM950,000 to install 75 units of solar lights at the bulatan.

“It was carried out by the corporation’s subsidiary Perak Industrial Resources Sdn Bhd for the public to enjoy the panoramic view of Banjaran Titiwangsa and Kledang Saiong,” he added.

He also noted the bazaar is also a platform for small and medium Enterprises (SMEs) entrepreneurs to generate income who are the backbone of the economy which is in line with Perak Sejahtera 2030 to empower SMEs and create inclusive economic opportunities for all rakyat in the state.

The decision to increase the lots goes to show the support by the corporation to SMEs.

Redza Rafiq also said the corporation is in talks with the Perak Islamic Religious Department to host a Solat Terawih Mega.
