The FIH-AHF-Raja Ashman Shah Hockey Academy-MHC held its advanced level umpiring course in Kuala Lumpur recently

The event was held at the Ibis Hotel PJCC, Petaling Jaya. Some 30 participants from 10 countries took part in the gathering.

They were from Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Oman, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Chinese Taipei.

Among those present was Dato’ Abd. Rahim Md. Ariff, Executive Trustee, Raja Ashman Shah AHF–MHC Hockey Academy, Dato’ Wira Nur Azmi Ahmad 

Deputy President  Olympics Council Malaysia, General Dato’ Seri Diraja Tan Sri (Dr.) Mohd Zahidi Zainuddin, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Bashir Ahmad, Chairman, Raja Ashman Shah AHF–MHC Hockey Academy, Dato’ Mohd. Johari Abd. Aziz, Chairman, Finance Committee, Raja Ashman Shah AHF–MHC Hockey Academy, Dato’ Chew Weng Kit, Honorary Treasurer, Raja Ashman Shah AHF–MHC Hockey Academy, M. Selvakumaran among others.

Abdul Rahim welcomed all participants to the closing ceremony of the FIH/AHF/MHC Level 3 Umpire Course, held under the auspices of the Raja Ashman Shah AHF–MHC Hockey Academy. 

“Today marks the culmination of an intensive learning journey—one that reflects our shared commitment to professional excellence in hockey officiating.

“On behalf of the Academy, I extend our deepest gratitude to the International Hockey Federation (FIH) and the Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) for their continued confidence and support in delivering this high-level course in Malaysia.

“The Raja Ashman Shah AHF–MHC Hockey Academy is proud to serve as a regional hub for the development of technical officials in Asia. This course is yet another milestone in our mission to produce umpires, coaches, and officials capable of officiating at world-class and Olympic levels,” he said.
