
The Minister of Housing and Local Government, YB Nga Kor Ming, has called on all Malaysians to stand united as one and reject any forms of racial discord, stressing that unity, harmony and mutual respect remain the foundation of the nation’s strength especially in times of crisis.
Nga who is also DAP Deputy National Chairman emphasised that while the world is in crisis, it is incumbent for every Malaysian to have a new resolve : stand united as one nation and overcome the crisis together.
He urged every Malaysian to support the govt’s effort under Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s leadership in reducing the people’s burden, to act responsibly, exercise restraint and refrain from amplifying negative sentiments that could undermine national unity and economic development.

“ Despite the fact that some neighbouring countries has declared an energy emergency, Malaysians still enjoy one of the lowest petrol prices in the world and the government is implementing various proactive initiatives to manage the situation.” He reiterated.
“Malaysia’s unity in diversity is our greatest asset. Therefore, we must not allow any irresponsible narratives to erode the trust and understanding that generations of Malaysians have worked hard to build,” he said at DAP PERAK 2026 Hari Raya Aidilfitri dinner with Perak Media.
Nga also emphasised that Perak is on the right track under the unity govt which saw the state govt recorded surplus budget for four consecutive years, it recorded highest investment of RM15.67 billion and tourism in Perak is also performing well with “Visit Perak Year 2025” received more than 10.1 millions domestic and foreign tourists.
He added that every Malaysian has an important role to play in preserving harmony and safeguarding the country’s unique diversity.
