A total of 50 Ipoh City Council (MBI) staff members received festive contributions in conjunction with the upcoming Festival of Lights through the MBI Prihatin Programme.
The contributions were presented by Ipoh Mayor En Zamakhshari Hanipah.
Also present at the programme were Dato Mazlan Abd. Rahman, Wong Kar Kiat, MBI Council Members’ Chief Whip, members of the Council and heads of MBI departments.
Organised annually by MBI’s Community Services and Social Development Department, this initiative reflects the Council’s continued commitment to nurturing compassion, togetherness and harmony among its staff.
The contributions, comprising festive cash gifts and boxes of sweets, are hoped to bring extra joy and sweetness to the Deepavali celebrations of staff members celebrating the festival, while further strengthening the bonds of unity, friendship and family spirit within the MBI community.
