The Ipoh City Council (DBI) has just upgraded some eight bus stops for the convenience of the public.
DBI mayor Datuk Rumaizi Baharin said that commuters can now have a conducive and comfortable experience during commuting from one place to another.
Among the bus stops involved are at Jalan Raja Musa Aziz, Jalan Raja Ekram, Jalan Sultan Iskandar, Jalan Raja Ashman Shah and several others.
“The repair and upgrade cost us RM111,860 to upgrade eight bus stops in the city. Work started on March 8 and was completed on April 4.
“Among the repair work done include replacing of the damaged roofs and metal dividers as well as adding metal ramps for the disabled.
“We also used anti-rust paint, replaced broken tiles and installed solar-powered lights at these bus stops.
“We are planning to upgrade more bus stops once we have the budget, ” added Rumaizi.
