Abandoned food courts have come to the attention of the Ipoh City Council.

The council is reviewing what can be done to revive the food courts.

“We are studying ways to revive them so that they will be active and lively again.

“Among the problems may be loss of customers due to facilities or other specific reasons,” said Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin.

He visited the Tambun Food Court, Taman Meru Food Court, Silibin Food Court, Dataran Niaga and Greentown Food Court.

He also added that Ipoh is known as a food paradise and the abandoned food courts do not augur well to this image.
