The focus was again on Ipoh City and its Mayor Datuk Rumaizi Baharin@Md Daud when he was selected as one of the speakers and a member of the panel on Malaysia MADANI Seminar 2024 on Development of Land in Malaysia at PICC, Putrajaya recently.
The seminar organised by the National Institute of Land and Survey (INSTUN) Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability (NRES) is aimed at providing a platform to get views and suggestions on development of land in the country.
Earlier in the day, Rumaizi tabled a paper entitled “the role of Acts of Local Government in the management and development under Act 171.”
Later he sat as a panelist with three others in a forum which was handled by Moderator Zulhasni Mohamad, who is the Head of the Management and Legal Affairs Division of INSTUN.
Other panelists were the Ministry’s Land, Survey and Geospatial Division Secretary Datuk Muhammad Yasir Yahya, PlanMalaysia’s Legal and Planning Regulatory Director Zamizan Puji and Prof. Dr Sharifah Zubaidah Syed Abdul Kader from Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia.
