The Ipoh City Council entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Mysuccess Land Sdn. Bhd to improve the quality of life of its staff and residents by offering affordable homes for the B40 group.
Some 82.6 acres has been allocated to put up 1,465 homes for this group.
The Ipoh City Council’s staff will also be given priority to secure these homes. The initiative is also one way to show the council’s appreciation to its workers.
Present to sign the MOu was Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin.
Meanwhile, Mysuccess Land is a local developer who will build low and medium cost homes. The project is also the biggest since the last 15 years in Ipoh.
During the same ceremony, TNB and the Kek Look Seah Association also carried out its corporate social responsibility (CSR) project by presenting a mock cheque of RM60,000 towards upgrading dilapidated homes.
They were represented by TNB Perak general manager Dato Ir Sharudin Mohd Simin and chairman of Kek Look Seah Association, Chung Yew Tong.
Another mock cheque of RM211,500 was presented by Kok Look Seah Association for the funeral services of non-muslim community in the B40 group in the city.
