To ease the burden of parents with school going children, the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry Perak had come to their aid by organising Program Jualan Rahmah Madani “Back to School ” throughout the state from January 18 to February 16.
Its Director Datuk Kamalludin Ismail said,”the objective of the program is to enlighten the financial burden with providing daily house necessities and needs of the students.
“They will be able to buy educational aid and goods at discounted prices of between 10 to 30 percent from the market price.
“Due to the positive response from the community the program continues in line with the whole of nation approach on tackling the living cost of the rakyat.
“It also enhances inclusiveness of various parties and at the same time benefits more people,”he added.
According to him last year, a total of 945 such programs were carried out which exceeded the target of 552.
Since the beginning of the year, 130 programs have been implemented.
The number of visitors also increased from 800,754 in 2023 to 1,658,225 last year
Statistics for sales also went up to RM64,089,786.04 in 2024 from RM19,957,423.5 in 2023.
