Repair and upgrading works of the flood lights at the Perak Stadium were completed promptly.
In a recent vandalism and theft incident, most of the flood lights, ballasts, cables, wiring and other electrical work were badly affected.
Ipoh City Council’s Technical director Khairul Anuar Lodin represented Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin and made an inspection of the work being done at the stadium.
Among the repair work carried out were the replacement of flood lights, ballasts, wiring, cables and bulbs.
The inspection was to ensure that the repair work was up to the mark of the Malaysia Football League (MFL).
During the untoward incident, most of the cables and other electrical equipment were stolen.
A police report has been lodged by the Ipoh City Council.
The council hopes that with the upgrading and repair done, the Perak football team will do well in the on-going MFL tournament.
