With the objective to promote carrom, Ipoh City Council organised a carrom competition in conjunction with the council’s 36th City Day celebrations at Indera Mulia Stadium on December 14 and 15.
The competition was divided into individual and team categories.
It was officiated by Ipoh City Mayor Datuk Rumaizi Baharin@Md Daud.
It is hoped the competition would unearth new talents with the view to represent the country in the future.
The tournament is solely for players to become champions but generate interest and promote sportsmanship in the sports which is another avenue to enhance teamwork and strengthen mental and physical resilience.
