The Ipoh City Council and Syarikat Sahabat Selamanya Sdn Bhd operators of Chang Jiang White Coffee entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to set up a new outlet in Tasik Cermin here.
The initiative is part of the council’s efforts to promote eco-tourism in the city.
Present was Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin along with representatives of Chiang Jiang White Coffee.
The new outlet and its surroundings measuring some 1.9 acres will have a cafe and a beautiful garden. Other facilities include washrooms, surau and public areas.
Chang Jiang White Coffee has been in the market for more than 70 years. Presently, they also have outlets ilike “Rumah Style Cafe” in Jalan Windsor, “Kopitiam Style Café” in Bangunan Casuarina, “Guangdong Garden Style Café “ in People’s Park and the “Limestone Valley Style Cafe” in Tasik Cermin which is in the pipeline.
“The setting up of the cafe will allow tourists and visitors to take in the sights and scenery of the limestone hills and the greenery in the area,” said Rumaizi.
Meanwhile Chang Jiang also hopes to expand throughout Malaysia and also foreign destinations.
