“My work required me to travel and I also learnt about various foods from around the world.

“Prior to this, I was with the Ipoh Geological Department along Tiger Lane for almost 20 years.

“We are open for lunch, tea and dinner. Our signature drink is the mint soda which is refreshing and cooling,” said Gopi.

Adding to this menu is also some fusion dishes created by their experienced chef,  S. Balachandran or Bala.

At a glance, the Legen Restaurant offers a brightly lit environment with air-con and clean setting for guests.

“For lunch, we offer banana leaf rice with a variety of vegetables and meat dishes like chicken, fish or mutton.

“During our tea time, there are treats like chicken pie, sandwich and mee goreng for guests,” said chef Bala.

During dinner time, they prepare creative fusion dishes for guests to enjoy.

On their first floor, they have a 80 pax capacity area for private functions.

“Due to covid-19 SOP, we can only cater for a 50 % capacity upstairs,” added Gopi.

“With the opening of interstate travel, we are getting a fair of people from Penang and Kuala Lumpur stopping by for lunch,” added Gopi.
