In embracing the spirit of Ramadan, the Ipoh City Council, MRoof Hotel, Econsave, Perak Community Specialist Hospital (PCSH), Navira Meditech Sdn Bhd, in cooperation with Kelab Sukan dan Kebajikan Media Perak treated 50 orphans from Pertubuhan Baitul Aini Anak Anak Yatim dan Miskin Ipoh and Pertubuhan Pusat Jagaan Anak Anak Yatim Al Yassin at MRoof Hotel recently.
The event was graced by Datuk Bandar Ipoh Datuk Rumaizi Baharin.
Also present were Director of Perak Chinese Maternity Association Datuk Lim Si Boon, Navira Meditech Managing Director S. Rajasegaran, Econsave Northern Region 3 Manager Shah Effendy Rosman, Kelab Sukan dan Kebajikan Media Perak President Rosli Manor and officials from the two orphanages.
Besides the mouth watering feast, the children received duit raya and goodie bags from PCSH, Navira Meditech presented spectacles and school bags while MRoof Hotel sponsored the buka puasa event.
Navira Meditech had earlier conducted eye tests on 30 orphans from the two orphanages.
Earlier in the day the orphans were brought to Econsave Chemor to choose their Hari Raya attire.
Rumaizi in his speech at the buka puasa event thanked the sponsors and hoped more corporate members will come forward to help those in need.
