As one walks into this pub and diner, guests will be taken back into time – to the colonial era of Malaysia when it used to attract rubber estate managers and tin miners back in its heyday.
This is the Durbar at FMS or formerly known as just the “FMS Bar” located in the heart of Ipoh city along Jalan Sultan Idris Shah.
The city is also known as the “Town That Tin Built” in recognition of the mineral which contributed to its early growth and economy.
Nowadays, the eatery draws foreign tourists and locals who want to get a feel of the yesteryear ambience at the restored Durbar in Ipoh.
One can’t help but notice the walls of the diner which are filled with photographs depicting the glorious history of the city.

The outlet also fronts the famous Ipoh Padang which hosts a wide range of sporting activities like hockey, football, cricket, rugby and a jogging track.
