Ipoh city will see the first mobile vaccination centre (PPV) soon.
The mobile PPV will start its operations on Saturday, August 7, from 9am to 5pm and can administer some 402 jabs a day.
The initiative will further speed up the vaccination process in the state.
Dubbed the “Vax On Wheels”, the project is being mooted by Pasir Pinji assemblyman Howard Lee and Ipoh Timor MP Community Centre working with COVID-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF), Ministry of Health (MOH) and state-level National Security Council (MKN), along with Terminal Amanjaya for bus usage.
“This project took around two months to be realised as the bus needed to be modified to suit the vaccination process,” said Lee.
He also added that the Pasir Pinji constituents need not travel to the community centre to get their vaccinations and it will benefit the elderly and disabled greatly.
The mobile PPV will make its first stop at Taman Hoover and later move to locations like Taman Pinggir Sungai Pasir Pinji and Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (SJK) (C) Sam Chai in Taman Happy.
