Ipoh City Mayor Zamakhshari Hanipah officiated the Fly Jalur Gemilang campaign at the Ipoh City Council level at Persiaran Bougainvillea here on Aug 15.
Among the activities at the event were handing over the Jalur Gemilang to the guard of honour and 17 council vehicles which carried the message of unity and love for the country.
The event is a symbol of patriotism, spirit and unity among council employees in conjunction with National Month (Bulan Kebangsaan) 2025.
It is hoped the launch would motivate the spirit of nationalism of the residents apart from encouraging them to fly the national flag at their premises as a sign of support towards the love of the country.
The theme of this year’s National Day and Malaysia Day “Malaysia MADANI: Rakyat Disantuni” which is a commitment and dedication by all in building a community to focus on unity,harmony and progressive.
Also present were Councillor Chief Whips, Datuk Mazlan Abd Rahman, Wong Kar Keat, councillors, council secretary Ahmad Munir Ishak, heads of departments and council’s staff.
