The Hard Rock Cafe Ipoh hosted the “Jazz Up Your Tee” event bringing together a vibrant mix of local talent and creative expression.

The event featured a unique T-shirt design competition using Classic Logo Tees as canvases and a runway show that showcased the artistic vision of Ipoh’s community.

Special guests Leia Harris and Bard Affendi from Ipoh Foodie joined in on the fun, showcasing their creativity alongside other participants in the competition.

Local mural artist, Ms. Yippee (Belle Yip), who has contributed to the iconic murals adorning Hard Rock Cafe Ipoh’s walls, was also present alongside her four students from Yuk Choi Private High School to celebrate the fusion of art and fashion.

“Jazz Up Your Tee was a great opportunity to showcase the talent and creativity that thrives in Ipoh, and we’re looking forward to hosting more events like these soon.

“We were happy to see so many passionate individuals come together to make this event happen. I am amazed by how our Classic Logo Tees could be reimagined into different styles,” said Mohd Najip Abllah, Assistant General Manager of Hard Rock Cafe Ipoh.

The highlight of the event was that participants took inspiration and ideas from elements like the Malaysian batik, their favourite anime characters, ribbons, and used it to showcase their unique creations on a vibrant runway.

In the end, Liew See Tyng emerged as the first-prize winner, impressing the judges with the model’s choreographed ballet split on stage and stylish design. Laura Law secured the second-place position, further demonstrating the depth of artistic talent in the community.

Hard Rock Cafe Ipoh continues to be a hub for creativity and self-expression, fostering a vibrant community that celebrates the power of music and art which reflects upon their motto “All Is One”.
