In conjunction with the 34th anniversary celebrations of Ipoh City, some 1,000 Ipoh City Council personnel gathered at the council this morning.
Ipoh Mayor Datuk Rumaizi Baharin and the respective heads of departments were also present.
“We will keep up the good work done over the years and ensure an inclusive society for all. We will also make sure Ipoh is a humane city too.
Rumaizi appealed to the residents to join the anniversary celebrations and the various promotions arranged.
In line with the celebrations, there are a great line-up of activities to celebrate the occasion.
Celebrations run from this month till June, 2022.
Among them are free entrance to facilities managed by the Ipoh City Council, discounts for compounds, sports activities and more.
The Tuanku Zara Aquatic Centre offers free entrance for residents while there is a 70% discount for compounds.
Other activities include fishing and drawing competitions. Cleanest stalls also stand to win prizes while sporting events like football, hockey and darts are also being held.
The Ipoh City Council is also among the top local councils in the country.
