The Ipoh City Council successfully defended their Local Government Choir title for the Menteri Besar Trophy 2024 in Taiping held on December 19.
A total of 10 local authorities in the state competed in the contest.
Second place went to Perak Tengah District Council while Selama District Council captured third spot.
Host Taiping Municipality who took fourth position also won the best Supporters Award.
Manjung Municipality was adjudged as the Best Performance council.
The trophy and cash prizes were presented to the winners by Taiping Municipality President Khairul Amir Mohamad Zubir.
Earlier Housing and Local Government Committee Chairman Sandrea Ng Shy Ching officiated the competition.
Ipoh City Council thanked all those involved in the success of the tournament which is in line with the recognition of Ipoh as Music of City.
