The Ipoh City Council has launched a mobile surau in conjunction with the Israk Mikraj & Ambang Ramadan celebrations.
Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin accompanied by various heads of departments were at the launching ceremony.
The mini bus was created by the council’s team.
“It took us about three months to equip this bus with the various necessary equipment like taps, air-conditioning, generator, audio systems and canopy.
“Being the first mobile surau in Perak, it cost us around RM100,000.
The mobile surau will start operations from April 1, 2022. As per new SOPs, the bus can cater seven people at any one time.
