The Ipoh City Council bagged two diamond awards at the Low Carbon City Awards 2022.
It was a proud moment for the city council and its workers.
The recognition puts the Ipoh City Council as among the top local councils to lead in the low carbon initiatives.
The awards were presented by the Ministry of Environment, Water through the Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Corporation (MGTC).The awards also show the commitment of the Ipoh City Council in implementing low carbon initiatives for a long term benefit for its residents.
The presentation ceremony was also attended by the Minister of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad.
Also present was the council’s director of Finance, Saidatul Akma Jamaludin who represented Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin.
