The Ipoh City Council signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with A Tech Insure Sdn Bhd to safeguard the welfare of its employees.
On hand was Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin along with Syed Alwi Mohamed Sultan, chief executive officer of A Tech Insure Sdn Bhd.
Also present was Tan Sri Dr. Abu Kassim Mohamed, chairman of A Tech Insure Sdn Bhd and Ahmad Munir Ishak, Secretary of the Ipoh City Council.
A Tech Insure Sdn Bhd (A Tech) will offer their “MyEzyCover” package to the council’s workers especially those with low income for vehicles and road tax. The repayment duration will be 10 months.
Through this scheme, it is hoped that the financial burden of workers at the council will be enlightened.
It will also refrain the workers from becoming debtors and is expected to benefit some 2,000 workers at the council especially those from the B40 group.
