As part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR), the Ipoh City Council sent a team of volunteers and equipment to help the victims of the recent floods in Baling.
Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin flagged off the team from the Ipoh City Council premises.
Lending support was Ipoh City Council secretary Ahmad Munir Ishak and other heads of departments also joined the team to Baling.
They assisted victims of the floods to clear the debris and mud from the various homes and business premises.
The team consisted of a total of 61 personnel from the various departments line enforcement, engineering, emergency services among others.
They were equipped with three lorries, two vans and one 4 by 4 vehicle. They hope to bring much needed relief to the residents in Baling.
