The Ipoh City Council won a grant of RM25,000 and a trophy for being selected in the 9th place in the National Innovation Trophy Challenge held in Penang recently.
Present was the Minister of Housing and Local Government Dato’ Sri Reezal Merican Naina Merican at the presentation ceremony.
Also present was Ipoh City Council’s secretary Ahmad Munir Ishak who represented Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin along with the Director of Landscape of MBI, Meor Abdullah Zaidi Meor Razali.
The ceremony was also attended by the Chief Minister of Penang Chow Kon Yeow.
The award will further encourage Ipoh City Council pursuit of a “Clean, Green and Developed” city.
The app “Eze3@mbi” was an innovation to record the inventory of trees in the city.
The app was developed by in-house talents in the Ipoh City Council. The app will be made available to the general public in Ipoh to report any reports or issues pertaining to trees in the city perimeters.
