This year’s run also coincides with Visit Perak Year 2024.
The run will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2024 from the Indera Mulia Stadium.
On hand to launch the run was Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin, Council secretary Munir Ishak and sponsors.
Others present were S.Ganesan@ Ghani, Director of Ashku Event Glow Management, and City council officials.
More than 5,000 runners are expected to take part in the run.
Participants from countries like China, Brunei, Singapore, Netherlands have already registered. There are 15 categories of the run ranging from 21 km, 10 km and 5 km events.
A total of RM14,800 awaits winners in the various categories. Participants will also receive T-shirts, medals, E-certificates and other goodies. There will also be a lucky draw, exhibition and various booths.
This year, the organisers have invited former athletes, Samson Vellabouy (Sea Games, Asean Games, Asian Track and Field) and Loo Kum Zee ( 1996 Olympian 1996 for high jump.
