Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin@Md Daud led a team to Hatyai, Thailand to promote Ipoh city and its natural beauty.
On hand to receive him was the deputy mayor of Hatyai City Municipality, Assoc Prof Dr Wichai Kanchanasuwon and his team.
Others present were Nik Muhamad Faqir Nik Zain, Consul from the Consulate of Malaysia in Songkhla and heads of departments from the Hatyai City Municipality.
The main focus of discussion was on tourism and also green initiatives. Topics also included the promotion of Visit Ipoh Year 2023.
In view of the Visit Perak Year 2024, the sessions were also invaluable. Meanwhile, the mayor hopes that the visit will also promote both cities as a tourist destination.
