Some 60 Foodpanda riders received their vaccination at the General Operations Force (PGA) Northern Brigade Headquarters’ clinic in Ulu Kinta.
What more, the Ipoh City Council also sponsored their petrol for their bikes.
Present at the ceremony was Ipoh mayor, Dato Rumaizi Baharin.
“Some 200 vaccination slots have been allocated for the food delivery riders. To prevent overcrowding at the centre, their vaccinations will be staggered,” said Northern Brigade’s Deputy Commander, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Noh Khamis.
More of their colleagues will be vaccinated in the coming weeks.
Mohd Nor also added that the riders are part of the frontliners during the on-going pandemic.
