It pays to settle your assessment tax and other outstanding bills at the Ipoh City Council on time.
You may just win cash prizes and other awards for the prompt payments.
The council held a lucky draw to offer 230 prizes to reward those who paid their bills promptly.
Present was Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin and other heads of departments.
The top prize was a cash award of RM20,000, followed by RM10,000 and so on.
In all, a total of RM76,000 cash was paid out. This is the third year that the City Council is holding such lucky draws to encourage residents to pay their outstanding bills on time.
Meanwhile, as at Feb 28, 2023 a sum of RM34.16 million was collected through such payments for 2023. Overall, some RM90 million was collected for the year.
