E-hailing company, Maxim team visited a charitable home in Taiping, namely the Pertubuhan Kebajikan Sinar Cahaya Anak-Anak Yatim L.M.S in conjunction with the Merdeka celebrations.

More importantly the visit was to bring the spirit of independence to the children.

The Maxim team provided the kids with much-needed goods and attention, which brought a lot of smiles to the faces of the kids.

Maxim drivers and employees spent half of the day playing with orphans. The children got the opportunity to feel the joyful and happy vibe of this important date in our country.

Moreover, Maxim prepared gifts for each of them. The presents were based on the requests from the management of the orphanage and included food supplies, stationery kits, books and electronic equipment.

Much excitement could be seen on the faces of the kids during the session activities. A giant custom-made “Snakes and Ladders” board brought exuberance, especially the game between orphans and the management of
Maxim.

In addition, the representatives of Maxim also shared knowledge about road safety, taught the children about how to cross the road the right way, what different road signs mean and much more.

“I would like to thank Mr. Rames (supervisor) and Mrs. Stella (manager) for giving us the opportunity to do activities & programs at Sinar Permata welfare house today. We are very honored and happy to see the children and residents here also happy at this program. In the future, I hope programs like this will be carried out again to strengthen the relationship between the community, our services and also Maxim’s work colleagues (drivers). Finally I hope the local community will understand and use our services.”said the Maxim head of Taiping, Amirul Rafiq.

“Children are our future. We need to take care of their rights, for education and give them support in terms of their needs and emotions. I appreciate the initiative from Maxim, as it will help to increase the children’s knowledge and also brings much cheer for the kids. The program was meaningful as it was conducted on Independence Day,” said Ms Mary Stella head Pertubuhan Kebajikan Sinar Cahaya Anak-Anak Yatim L.M.S.

Maxim E-hailing partner-drivers also joined the Merdeka Parade 2024 with flags of Malaysia.
