The public had been warned to be wary of people who intend to organise an event purportedly to be held at a Ipoh City Council (MBI) premise.
The so called organiser had been actively promoting the upcoming event through media channels without prior approval or consent from the council.
MBI in a statement said it had not granted any permission to the said organiser to conduct such an event at their premises.
“This form of promotion constitutes false and misleading advertisement and urges the public and potential vendors to exercise caution.
“MBI shall not be liable for any loss or damages incurred by individuals or vendors who respond to or engage with this unauthorised advertisement or organiser.
“We advise the public to verify the authenticity of any event or activity purportedly involving MBI by contacting our official representatives directly through the verified channels,”it added.
MBI would not hesitate to take legal action against any individual or entity found to be involved in acts that undermine, belittle, or attempt to damage the reputation of MBI through unauthorised use of our name, property, or official capacity.
