The Ipoh City Council’s Strategic Communications Unit in collaboration with the M Roof Hotel and Econsave organised a corporate social responsibility project to benefit children from the Pertubuhan Baitul Aini Anak-Anak Yatim dan Miskin Ipoh, Perak dan Pertubuhan Kebajikan Cahaya Kasih, Kinta, Perak.
The children were hosted to a break of fast ceremony at the hotel. Present was Ipoh City Council Mayor Datuk Rumaizi Baharin and sponsors.
Among them was Muhammad Hamzah Md Hamdan (MBI), Shah Effendy bin Rosman from Econsave (Cash & Carry Sdn Bhd), Datin Noraini Abdullah founder of Pertubuhan Baitul Aini Anak-Anak Yatim dan Miskin Ipoh and Norizan Razali from Pertubuhan Pusat Jagaan Anak-Anak Yatim Al Yassin.
Earlier, the kids were also taken to the Econsave outlet in Klebang to shop for their Raya clothes.
The following evening, they were feted to the break of fast session sponsored by the management of the M Roof Hotel here.
Meanwhile, the City Council provided duit raya for the kids too.
In his address, Rumaizi thanked the sponsors who have come forward to support the meaningful programme.
