More and more individuals and corporates in Ipoh are coming forward to help the needy during these difficult times.
Recently, households in the B40 group in Ipoh received much needed food rations from a local businessman.
The managing director of the popular restaurant, Maharaj located along Jalan Dr Nazrin Shah, Dato R. Thangarajah and his team around the city to distribute the food packets.
In all, some 600 food packets were distributed. The recipients expressed their gratitude and sincere thanks to the donors.
Also present were several branch heads from MIC Ipoh Barat including social worker, Jayagopi.
Meanwhile, the Ipoh City Council is a shining example of local authorities taking care of needy residents during these trying times.
Working with the private sector, they have carried out numerous food aid projects in may of the low income group dwelling.
Prior to this, members of the Rotary Club of Kinta also distributed food rations to residents in several areas in the city.
Their deeds truly gives meaning to “Kita Jaga Kita”.
