A total of 134 children from the B40 group category comprising employees of Ipoh City Council received education aid as they start school semester next week.
The back-to-school program was organised by Ipoh City Council’s Community Services Department with the cooperation of Syarikat Puncak Emas Infra Sdn Bhd and Pasaraya Borong Sakan was held on Feb 14.
Ipoh City Mayor Datuk Rumaizi Baharin @Md Daud officiated the event.
Also present were the company’s Operation Manager Ahmad Fauzan Ahmad Malik, Public Relations Officer Hud Abdul Halim, Ipoh Section Manager Mohd Azham Azmi ,supermarket’ s Kuala Kangsar branch manager Nafisah Izati Sharifuddin,councillors and heads of departments.
Sixty-seven students from secondary and another 67 pupils from primary schools received the aid including uniforms, bags and shoes.
It is hoped that the aid would ease the financial burden of the parents and equip the children with all the needs to excel in their studies and present a good personality.
