Adding to the tourism products in Ipoh will be Tasek Cermin Gunung Rapat.
It is the very first quarry eco park in the country.
On hand to launch the new tourism product was State Exco for Housing, Tourism and Local Government Datuk Nolee Ashilin Mohamed Radzi along with the Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin.
The unused quarry which has two tunnels will serve well to become a new tourist attraction.
The project is undertaken by Syarikat Tasek Cermin Tourism Sdn Bhd on the 26-hectare site.
There will be attractions like boats, jetty, food and beverage kiosks, cafes, buggies, trishaws and buggies for visitors to enjoy.
The project is also expected to help the local economy and provide jobs for locals.
