Two representatives from the Association of Senior Officers of Ipoh City Council (PADUAN), Muhammad Hafiz Muhyaddin and Shahrin Nordin joined the Critter Rangers team consisting of 28 students from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS together with their adviser Laily Murny Kamarulzaman attended an event called Project Fury Friends at Noah’s Ark Animal Welfare Ipoh here on October 20.

This initiative is part of the Down to Earth (DTE) programme which is aimed to create awareness about animal welfare including hygiene, health and overall well being especially stray animals as well as support localĀ animal shelters.

DTE is a University Social Responsibility (USR) initiative by UTP. 

The group participated in repainting animal cages, cleaning shelters, and providing new equipment to assist in the shelters operations.

TheĀ  project also emphasized the importance of adopting pets from shelters, encouraging a compassionate approach to animal welfare.
