Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin presented appreciation certificates and plaques to employees who had excelled in their duties.
In al, some 162 personnel received outstanding service awards while another 40 members were recognized for their skills.
The event was held at the council’s ballroom.
Also present were Ipoh City Council councillors and heads of departments.
In his address, Rumaizi urged the employees to keep up their good work despite the pandemic. He also urged them to safeguard the good name of the council.
“Your efforts are highly appreciated, keep it up,” he said while congratulating the recipients.
