Traders affected by the recent fire at the Pasir Puteh market in the city received much needed assistance.
The Member of Parliament for Ipoh Timur Howard Lee gave out emergency relief funds to some 83 traders affected by the incident.
The total amount was RM200,000 from the federal government. The amount also included funds from the state government, Pasir Pinji state assemblyman’s office, Ipoh City Council and from Puncak Emas Infra Sdn. Bhd.
Also present was Pasir Pinji assemblyman YB Goh See Hua, ADUN Pasir Pinji, Ipoh City Council secretary, Ahmad Munir Ishak among others.
They also expressed sympathy to the victims since it is the Chinese New Year season.
