The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry Perak hosted an appreciation and dinner gathering for consumers and entrepreneurs here on Dec 20.
They included suppliers who participated in the Menu Rahmah sales. Special incentive discount cards were also given to six entrepreneurs.
It is an initiative with Aeon Big, Mydin, NSK, Giant Lotus’s and Econsave who are the department’s strategic partners which will offer the Menu Rahmah entrepreneurs special discounts up to 40 percent for business purchases.
Media personnel were not forgotten as they were honoured with presentations of souvenirs and appreciation certificates.
Perak Director Datuk Kamalludin Ismail in his speech appreciated the role of the media in disseminating information to the public.
“The media played a vital role in all our activities and programmes which helped the consumers to be aware of the department’s role in safeguarding the interests of the consumers,” he added.
Kamalludin presented the certificates and discount cards. Some 100 lucky draw prizes were given out.
